Summer in the City (and Cannes and South Africa).
It has been an incredibly busy couple of months since we finally got the website up and running. The main highlight has been the Cannes Film Festival. It’s bizarre to see how much of the London based film industry decamp to the south of France for ten days in May. One day you’re bumping into an acquaintance on Wardour Street and the next you’re bumping into them again on the Croisette.
Since we've been gone
It’s been a while, but here we are with a splendid new website, implemented and designed by the superb Theo & Tom. Hopefully you like it as much as we do, and we’ll be endeavouring to keep it regularly updated. In the coming weeks a crowdfunding page will be going live, which will allow you to contribute a donation of your choice toward the production budget of the film (more on this v. soon). You can also follow us on your social networking site of choice (see the links to the right).
Money, money, money.
So we’re now on the long search for £200,000. We have our investment pack completed and the response to it has been great. We’re currently formulating a strategic plan for distributing it but it’s increasingly looking like it’ll be pretty much ‘get it to as many people as possible’.
I HATE WRITING A TREATMENT
Scooby Dooby Doo
I have no idea what writers block feels like, so I can only imagine that it leaves the poor writer a shambolic, frustrated, self doubting mess. I’ve not quite reached this state, the ideas haven’t dried up, but it does feel as if I’m banging my head against a particularly belligerent brick wall in the hope that a creative breakthrough lies just the other side.
